Installation and activation

Get the right Mac download, install it, and activate the formats you own.

Choose your edition

The current releases are Standalone 1.0.1, build 11 and plugin installer 1.0.7.11. Installer and effect version numbers can differ. These guides cover Mac, with macOS 14 or later and a Metal-capable Mac. If you are unsure about your Mac or editor version, contact support before buying.

Standalone does not include plugin access. Installing a package does not change your purchased edition. If you bought the wrong edition, describe whether you want an exchange or want to keep Standalone and add plugins before making another purchase.

Use your order's download instructions. Missing access? Contact faceworldinstruments@gmail.com from your purchase address with the order number. Do not use an old beta or private test build as a substitute.

Install Standalone

1. Save your work and quit GLAZE.
2. Open GLAZE-CRT-1.0.1-macOS-Universal.dmg.
3. Drag GLAZE into Applications.
4. Eject the disk image and open GLAZE from Applications.
5. Connect to the internet. Enter the purchase email and order number from your receipt in the activation screen.

You do not need a separate pasted license key. The DMG does not install plugins.

Continue with Standalone: your first export.

Install the plugins

1. Save projects and finish active renders.
2. Quit After Effects, After Effects Render Engine, Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, DaVinci Resolve and GLAZE Activation.
3. Open GLAZE-Adobe-DaVinci-macOS.pkg from your order.
4. Follow macOS Installer and provide normal administrator authorization when prompted.
5. Wait for successful completion before reopening your editor.

The released package installs the Adobe effect, Resolve OpenFX effect, optional Adobe panel and activation utility together. There is no component-selection screen. It does not install or replace Standalone.

Activate the plugins

Installation and activation are separate. Use GLAZE Activation with your purchase email and order number.

If the utility has not opened:

1. In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.
2. Enter /Library/Application Support/Faceworld Video/.
3. Open GLAZE Activation and follow its purchase-email/order-number prompts.

If it already recognizes this Mac's activation, preserve that working state. For an error, keep the exact message and contact support rather than deleting license files or retrying device resets.

Continue with After Effects, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

Two Macs, updates and offline preparation

Your license is for one user on up to two activated Macs. Complete does not provide a separate pair of Macs for every editor.

Activate online first on each Mac. Before an offline session, reopen your installed setup and check a short export while you still have internet. Resolve any activation message before you go offline.

To update, quit GLAZE and the relevant editors, use the current download for your edition and keep your presets, projects and activation records. Keep the last working download. Reinstalling is not a way to release a seat.

If the same Mac is unexpectedly treated as a new device, or you are replacing a Mac and hit the activation limit, contact support. Do not clear Keychain items or delete activation records.

When installation does not complete

For a generic “The installation failed” message, make sure all the apps listed above are closed, then retry once. If it fails again, save Window > Installer Log > Show All Logs and contact support.

If macOS reports a damaged, untrusted or unverifiable download, stop and send the exact message. Do not disable security or change plugin-folder permissions.
