GLAZE in Premiere Pro

Add GLAZE to a timeline clip, choose a look and export the finished sequence from Premiere.

You need the Adobe + DaVinci or Complete edition for Mac and the released 1.0.7.11 plugin installer. The separate Standalone app does not add Premiere effects.

1. Install and activate

Save projects and finish renders. Quit Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects and its Render Engine, Resolve and GLAZE Activation. Install the plugin PKG, wait for successful completion, then activate using your purchase email and order number.

The utility is GLAZE Activation in /Library/Application Support/Faceworld Video/. Use Finder's Go > Go to Folder to reach it if it has not opened.

Follow Installation and activation, then reopen Premiere.

2. Set up a short sequence

Open a project, import a short clip and place it in a sequence. Select the timeline clip, not only its source item in the Project panel.

Move the playhead over that clip so the Program Monitor shows the shot you are adjusting. Start with one selected video clip.

3. Apply GLAZE

1. Open the Effects panel.
2. Search GLAZE, under Faceworld Instruments.
3. Drag it onto the intended timeline clip.
4. Open Effect Controls for that clip and find the GLAZE instance.

If the clip already has GLAZE, edit that instance unless you deliberately want another effect in the stack.

4. Choose a preset and refine it

Choose a factory preset under GLOBAL > Preset and play a short section. Adjust one control at a time, watching how it changes the shot.

You can use the native Effect Controls directly. The optional GLAZE CRT Extended UI is under Window > Extensions or Extensions (Legacy), depending on your Premiere version.

Keep the intended clip selected when using the panel. For example, expand Color Signal to reach Chroma Level. Reselect a clip after switching shots if the panel is not showing the expected controls. Do not assume that opening the panel applies the effect to a clip.

5. Save the project and reuse a look

Use File > Save to preserve the sequence and GLAZE settings.

For a reusable Premiere effect preset:

1. Select the timeline clip with the look you want.
2. Select the GLAZE effect heading in Effect Controls.
3. Open the Effect Controls panel menu and choose Save Preset.
4. Name the preset and choose how any keyframes should be handled.
5. Apply the saved preset from the Effects panel to a new test clip and check it.

An effect preset stores effect settings. It is different from an export preset, which stores encoding settings, and from a Standalone GLAZE preset.

To save a personal preset in GLAZE CRT Extended UI, use the panel’s SAVE control to store the selected effect’s current host values. Saving with an existing name updates that personal preset.

6. Optional: vary the effect over time

Use Premiere's animation controls only for parameters that expose them in Effect Controls. Set a value at the start, enable animation, move later in the clip and change the value.

Preview the result. Keyframe timing can change when a preset is applied to a clip of another length, so check its preset type and the new clip before delivery.

The native Preset menu and group master controls apply changes while editing; they are not keyframe lanes. Animate individual detail parameters that expose host animation controls.

7. Export the sequence

1. Select your timeline sequence.
2. Choose File > Export > Media.
3. Set the filename and destination.
4. Choose Format and the appropriate export preset.
5. Check the range, frame size, frame rate and audio settings.
6. Select Export for a direct Premiere export.
7. Open the resulting file and inspect the treated shot, start/end and soundtrack.

Start with a short direct export. If your workflow uses Media Encoder, save the project and verify that separate route with a short result too. Use an export format appropriate for the destination; a host export preset does not change which GLAZE edition you own.

Troubleshooting your first result

If the effect is missing, confirm the plugin package completed and restart Premiere once. If only the Adobe panel is unavailable, use native Effect Controls.

For a render problem, compare the same short export with GLAZE disabled. Note whether you used direct Premiere export or Media Encoder, and include the exact error and versions in your support request.
